Xenografts are known to buy time for severely injured burn victims, allowing donor sites to heal and the patient to stabilise. Fresh frozen xenograft has been demonstrated to provide better graft take than dried xenograft. This case report details the case of a severely injured burn victim for whom fresh frozen xenograft was used, and the factors that eventually contributed to the patient’s demise.
